    Photon Energy Publishes Quartlery Report for Q4 2013

    Feb. 17, 2014 - Photon Energy has published its quarterly report for Q4 2013, which saw a turning point in the company's development with a new strategy implemented and new contracts signed in Australia. Photon Energy is set for more positive stories in 2014 in line with the group's intention of moving away from state-run subsidy programmes and towards selling electricity directly to commercial customers. Financially Q4 2013 can be considered a success with a 17% YOY increase in consolidated revenues.

    Trina Solar Announces Acquisition of Majority Stake in Hubei Hongyuan

New Energy Technology Corporation ("Shenzhen S.C."), to acquire a majority stake in Shenzhen S.C.'s wholly-owned subsidiary, Hubei Hongyuan PV Science and Technology Co., Ltd., ("Hubei Hongyuan"), located in Xiantao, Hubei Province.

    S.A.G. Solarstrom AG Initiates Search for Investors

    February 13, 2014 - As part of the restructuring process, S.A.G. Solarstrom AG has instructed the international strategy consultancy Roland Berger Strategy Consultants to organize and support an investor process with regard to a commitment to S.A.G. Solarstrom AG on a national and international basis. The order was placed in agreement with the temporary trustee Dr. Jörg Nerlich from the lawyers' offices of Görg, Cologne, as well as the temporary creditor committee, after several experienced specialists had been assessed. As part of the self-administered insolvency proceedings, the company's Executive Board is currently developing a concept to restructure the Group, in coordination with the temporary trustee and the temporary creditor committee, to ensure the long-term future of the company. First results are expected to be presented when the insolvency proceedings open at the beginning of March this year.

    ReneSola Supplies Several Million Watts of Solar PV to Chevron

    Feb. 14, 2014 - ReneSola Ltd announced today that it provided 10,000 of its solar PV modules to Chevron Energy Solutions for a 3.1MW multi-site project in Lemoore, California. The multi-array project will consist of 2.85MW of ReneSola's 72-cell 300W polycrystalline modules and 260KW of 260W monocrystalline modules.

    centrotherm Records Rising Order Intake

    Feb. 11, 2014 - In December and January alone, centrotherm received orders from leading solar cell manufacturers totaling around 30 million euros. In the Photovoltaics business unit, centrotherm therefore currently has an order book position in the single equipment business of around 62 million euros. Customers are ordering wide-ranging equipment packages for expanding their existing production capacities or for setting up new production lines, as the high demand for solar cells and modules, particularly from Japan and the USA, has led to full utilization of their production capacities over the past few months.

    Hanwha Q CELLS and AGR Break Ground on 24.3MW PV Plant in UK

    Feb. 11, 2014 - UK based developer AGR teams up with Hanwha Q CELLS to deliver a new, 24.3MW solar installation in Stowbridge, Cambridgeshire. Once complete, the ground-mounted plant will boast a total of 94,500 Q.Pro-G3 solar panels generating an estimated 22,445MWh of clean energy per year – enough to power 24,800 local households and save approximately 9650 tons of carbon emissions each year.
