    Array Technologies Chosen to Equip 333MW PV Plants in Australia

    Array Technologies has been commissioned to supply its DuraTrack HZ v3 as the tracker of choice for the 333MW Darlington Point Solar Farm, 50 km south of Griffith, New South Wales. This project, a joint venture between Edify Energy and Octopus Investments, will provide clean power to over 115,000 Australian homes annually. The site is expected to begin commercial operations in early 2020.

    PSEG Acquires Two Solar Projects from BayWa r.e.

    PSEG Solar Source today announced it has purchased two North Carolina solar farms being developed by BayWa r.e. Construction began last month on Five Forks Solar, which will be a 25.9MW-dc facility when completed, and North Halifax Solar, which will be a 26.9MW-dc facility. Both facilities are expected to go into service during the fourth quarter of 2019. The acquisition represents a total investment of approximately $65 million.

    SMA Added 2.3MWh PV Storage System on the Caribbean Island of Saba

    SMA Sunbelt Energy GmbH added a 2.3MWh storage solution with Sunny Central Storage battery inverters by SMA Solar Technology AG to the island's PV farm to intermediately store excess solar power for later use. The local electric utility company SEC assumes that use of diesel generators will not be required at all for up to ten hours on sunny days.

    Eni Sets up New Plants in Tunisia and Pakistan

    Eni has begun the construction of two new solar photovoltaic projects in Pakistan and Tunisia. The Pakistan plant will be built in close proximity to the Bhit gas field at which Eni is the operator with a 40% stake, through its subsidiary Eni New Energy Pakistan. The Tunisia plant will be built at the ADAM oil concession, at which Eni is the operator with a 25% stake, through its subsidiary Eni Tunisia BV. The projects will support upstream operations by providing green energy with an off-grid set up.

    Jinergy HJT Module Breaks 450W

    Dr. Liyou Yang, general manager of Jinneng Clean Energy Technology Ltd was invited to speak at PV CellTech 2019. According to Dr. Liyou Yang, currently, Jinergy's HJT cell average mass production efficiency has reached 23.79%, and the efficiency of new experimental cells has reached 24.73%. Power output of the JNHM72 champion module has reached 452.5W. According to data from Jinergy's experimental power station, taking the same installation area, Jinergy's HJT module power generation is 50%-70% higher compared to regular ones with a tracking system.
