    Suntech 27MW PV Modules Power PV Project Built by Biosar

    Moerdijk Solar Park is one solar park in the Netherlands. The modules in the park were installed by Biosar Energy (UK) Limited. Moerdijk Solar Park has been designed with 76,000 monocrystalline, half-cell solar modules delivered by Suntech. Suntech's solar modules are now generating approximately 27MW of peak capacity for Shell's Moerdijk Solar Park, equivalent to the energy consumption by 9,000 Dutch households.

    Atlas Renewable Energy Announces $152 Million for Financing of Solar Plants in Brazil

    Atlas Renewable Energy announced the completion of long-term financing of three of its solar energy plants in Brazil for a total amount of USD $152 million. The financing was obtained through Banco do Nordeste, backed by an equivalent sum of commercial bank guarantees from BTG Pactual, Banco ABC Brasil, and Banco Bradesco. Together, the plants will have an installed capacity of more than 300MW.

    Array Technologies Chosen to Equip 333MW PV Plants in Australia

    Array Technologies has been commissioned to supply its DuraTrack HZ v3 as the tracker of choice for the 333MW Darlington Point Solar Farm, 50 km south of Griffith, New South Wales. This project, a joint venture between Edify Energy and Octopus Investments, will provide clean power to over 115,000 Australian homes annually. The site is expected to begin commercial operations in early 2020.

    PSEG Acquires Two Solar Projects from BayWa r.e.

    PSEG Solar Source today announced it has purchased two North Carolina solar farms being developed by BayWa r.e. Construction began last month on Five Forks Solar, which will be a 25.9MW-dc facility when completed, and North Halifax Solar, which will be a 26.9MW-dc facility. Both facilities are expected to go into service during the fourth quarter of 2019. The acquisition represents a total investment of approximately $65 million.

    SMA Added 2.3MWh PV Storage System on the Caribbean Island of Saba

    SMA Sunbelt Energy GmbH added a 2.3MWh storage solution with Sunny Central Storage battery inverters by SMA Solar Technology AG to the island's PV farm to intermediately store excess solar power for later use. The local electric utility company SEC assumes that use of diesel generators will not be required at all for up to ten hours on sunny days.
