Hanwha Q CELLS to Supply 21MW PV Modules in Japan

Hanwha Q CELLS signed a photovoltaic module supply contract with Saga-Ouchi Mega Solar. The amount of supply is about 21MW.

The photovoltaic modules are scheduled to be supplied for the largest solar power station in the Saga Prefecture that is being built now and put into operation in April 2018. The electricity that is generated by the power plant can be used by approximately 4,200 households a year. In addition, the plant can reduce 14,500 tons of carbon dioxide emissions per year.

"Hanwha Q CELLS recorded cumulative sales of 2 GW in the Japanese market as of the end of last year," said Kim Jong-seo, head of Hanwha Q CELLS Japan, adding, "We will continue to accelerate our growth in the market by means of high-efficiency and high-performance products, strict quality control and assurance and wide marketing infrastructure covering the whole of Japan."
