IBC Solar and E.ON will together put a 7.45MW solar farm into operation. The plant, which is located in Meyenburg in the district of Prignitz (Brandenburg, Germany), will generate enough energy to power the equivalent of about 2,400 households annually.

IBC Solar has been providing customers with PV systems of all sizes for more than 30 years. For the solar farm in Meyenburg, the company was not only tasked with the development and implementation of this mayor asset project but will also be in charge of operations and maintenance (O&M). E.ON has been involved in the development and financing of this project.

"The Meyenburg solar farm in Brandenburg will not only help generate sustainable electricity for the region but will also make an important contribution to tomorrow's energy supply," said Robert Hienz, Managing Director of E.ON Energie Deutschland. "We are constantly expanding our range of PV services and product solutions. Open-field projects like the one in Meyenburg play an important role in this regard."

"We are delighted to be able to complete such a large-scale project with E.ON for the first time," said Jörg Eggersdorfer, CFO of IBC Solar. "Having a dedicated project company has allowed us to build this solar farm quickly and optimize its output," he added.
